" A DOCTOR`S STORY"
He loved eating!
He loved sleeping !
He never meditated, did yoga or exercised !
He preferred to ride a bike over walking !
He smoked infinite pack years.
He drank barrels of alcohol.
He indiscriminately ate all the tasty but unhealthy food that he could get his hands on.
He never watched a health show on t.v.
He never went for regular health check ups!
He never valued health like he treasured wealth.
Then one day,
He fell sick.
He didn't go to the doctor asap.
He summoned Dhami and Jhakris for cheap healing!
He offered prayers and sacrificed animals for health.
At last he went to see the doctor.
The doctor diagnosed his ailment and prescribed him his medications.
He didn't adhere to the treatment regime.
He didn't go for follow ups.
He didn't even do all the required investigations because he was saving money.
One unfortunate day, his health worsened and he was admitted to the hospital.
The doctors tried their best but they could not save him.
AND THEN PEOPLE ACCUSE THE DOCTORS FOR KILLING HIM.
We invest a lifetime of our parent`s earning, a lifetime of sleepless nights and pain and sacrifices to become a doctor.
We do it because we love what we do.
No doctor would ever try and harm a patient on purpose.
Those who physically and economically harm the patient must be penalised BY THE LAW not by random goons who dont have any touch with logic, morality and reality.
Doctors are at a risk of being harmed and penalised for no apparent mistake.
Everybody must realize that we cant save someone who has already doomed themselves. We can just try our best with the skills and knowledge we have acquired.
Doctors are humans too.
We save lives, not take them.
